eating on The Drive

Have a small group of out of towners that wants to go to Commercial Dr to shop & eat. Need something that caters to carnivores & Vegetarians(non-Vegan). Any suggestions will be gratefully appreciated. Thanks

Via Tevere (on Victoria Dr, actually but a short walk).
Absinthe Bistro s actually pretty good.

Both are only open in the evenings for dinner...so plan your shopping for late afternoon.

How do you like Via Tevere vs Roma on Hastings?

VT wins for pizza. Roma for pastas, apps, other mains.

VT's pizzas have kind of ruined us for other places. We were at Farina recently and it was just no contest. VT is a great combo with shopping nearby and an early dinner to avoid the lineup, which is there even in the cold, wind, dark and rain. Best to arrive at least 15 mins before they open so you get seated in the first wave of customers.
