Smoke a turkey but not totally then deep fry it

Anyone every done this? if so let me know I want to try it.

  1. I have done it with chickens and Cornish game hens. Works great.

      I've done chicken this way as well. It is divine. Just reduce your fry time accordingly. for chicken it only needs about 4-6 minutes in the fryer after smoking. Not sure about the Turkey. I guess it depends on the size of the bird and what temp you take it to in the smoker.

      ETA: I really like to do a dry rub for at least 24 hours prior to smoking, for this technique. Seems to give the skin that extra crispy kick.
