Payard Patisserie on the Upper East Side--anyone tried it yet?

I took a quick swing through and noticed pastries clocking in at $7+ for an individual portion. I love pastries and some of them are literally works of art but are they worth the money? Would also be curious for reports on the tearoom. So far it seems packed. Thanks fellow hounds!

  1. I guess it really depends on how badly you want French pastries. Quality French pastries are kind of rare in New York, and I am personally willing to pay $7 for Payard's pastries. They are great.
