Not inUptown, but very close: Buzzbrews at Central and Fitzhugh. Pretty decent grub.

Dream Cafe is probably one of the best options.

I think Breadwinners has gone completely downhill and is barely edible, at this point.

The Original Pancake House on eastbound Lemmon between Mckinney and 75 for great pancakes, waffles, crepes, fabulous filled omelettes, etc, etc. Plus, great french roast coffee. Personally, I love their turkey sausage links in natural casing with my poached eggs on corned beef hash. Soooooo much better and, much more comfortable than Bread Winners with much better service, too!

I haven't been to that location, but I love Original Pancake House's Texas Benedict with poached eggs instead of scrambled, and the fresh-squeezed OJ is great.
