What have you made lately? Get great advice

potato shredder

My husband makes great potato latkes for Hanukkah each year, but he has trouble shredding them fine enough. Our old Cuisinart did not do the trick. A mandolin worked but was too time consuming. I see there is a new Kitchenaid food processor that is adjustable, does anyone know i that could work? Is there a new Cuisinart as well? Any advise would be helpful as I'm hopping to get him one for the holiday. Of course, in the end it is a gift for both of us.

Edit: We do have a Kitchenaid stand mixer. Would an attachment for that work?

I use this attachment for the Kitchen Aid when I make latkes, and I love it.

I don't know about new Cuisinarts that might somehow be adjustable, but they do make different sized grating discs for the "regular" machines that can be bought separately. The one that usually ships with the machine is the "medium" disc, but they also make fine and, I think, extra-fine discs. Maybe one of those would do it?

They do make some sort of grating attachment for the Kitchen Aid, but I don't know anything about it.
