Anyone tried Fuoco Pizzeria Napoletana in Fullerton?

I saw that this place was now open at the corner of Harbor and Commonwealth. They appear to be striving for an authentic Napoli style pizza with Italian ingredients and an oven from Naples. Has anyone given it a try yet? I am hoping it is a quality addition to DTF.

  1. Yes, it is the real deal. I have lived in Italy on two different
assignments and have eaten at the two best pizzerias in Naples. This is as close to a Naples pizza as you are going to get. They only serve pizzas, salads, and calzones.

Nice selection of Italian beers and wines, along with other imported wines and beer. They also carry domestic beers and wines.

We have eaten there or ordered take away ten times since they opened.

One of a few places that has a real wood fired oven. And yes, you will get a knife and fork.

Great pizza. Love their margherita and spicy salami and mushroom pizza.

      I prefer Fuoco over Sotto.

The bread/crust has a great chew and flavor.

A little soupy in the middle but expected with a good real deal neopolitan pizza.

I'm extremely doubtful of take-out here since the center is so wet. Usually by the third slice here (and this is talking about attacking the pizza like you've never eaten in Italy before), the pizza is already returning into its original dough state. (Picture relevant)
