  1. Lark Cake Shop in Silver Lake has a very good coconut cake. I love c'nut and have bought the cake there three times. It is really rich so a small piece/cake goes a long way.
Buttercake has another very good version.

I was driving in that part of Sunset today and stopped in, based on your recommendation.
Thanks for that....those coconut cupcakes are killer. It's a nice little space with beautiful looking cakes. I'll be back for one.

do they sell the coconut layer cake by the slice ?

And for anyone that has tried Kpaul's coconut cake is it anything like that one ???

        Thanks a bunch.

I'm not sure. Definately worth a call, though to inquire :).

I tried the Lark cake maybe 3 times and am crazy for it. The draw for me is that it incorporates walnuts which heightens the richness. I am a big, big walnut fan but I understand it is an option.

      3. The cake lady at the Pacific Palisades Farmer's market on Sunday. Great coconut cake and other great cakes, coconut macaroons etc.

+1 for susie cakes, second time I post for them today but they are very good....

            2. Clementine makes a great coconut cupcake, I think they bake it as a full size cake as well.

Their yellow cupcakes with chocolate frosting are some of the best in town. The frosting is well nuanced, rich, yet blissfuly not too sweet.

Those are good but the coconut and chocolate creme filled are better.
