Delicious Dinkies

HLing Nov 17, 2012 04:21 AM

Had a bite at Dinkies In Chinatown at 118 Baxter between Hester and Canal.
It's not just a dessert place, apparently. Braised Short rib is on their menu too. Much more exploring to be done.

I had the banana caramel dinkies and the jalapeno corn dinkies, (pictured). both hot and delicious. Would like to try a lot more sweet and savory fillings, like chicken and biscuit, or strawberry shortcake...
I'll be back.

I've been back a few times and enjoyed the Cuban sliders while they were out of the short rib. The pork is juicy and fresh. Their choice of bread has always been good so that it complimented. Finally though I was able to get the short rib sandwich today. it's tender with just enough fat. simple and flavorful. I didn't want any sauce to hide the original taste. Their fries are also well made.getting 6 piping hot apple pie dinkies for 1.5 less with my sandwich was nice.
