Going for drinks on 9th between 18th and 19th. Looking for someplace reasonable to go to for dinner around 8:30 pm. Any recommendations?

    How many people?

    What cuisines do you like?

What is "reasonable" to you? Can you give a per person figure for food only?

NB to the OP: Recette & Txikito are small plates places, so the bill can add up there. Recette is also very cramped for parties of 2, unless you sit at the bar.

Scarpetta's entrees are around $30+ so will be too expensive, I think.

If you like italian, there is one brand new restaurant right next to buddakan at chelsea market, they opened a week ago.

It's called Giovanni Rana, I went last sunday for brunch and we really loved it.
True, simple, authentic italian dishes and the most expensive entree is 25$.

The ambience is nice, rustic in a nice "chelsea market" way. Great appetizers and pastas.
      It all tastes 100% italian.

If you like moules & frites, there is Petite Abeille at 44 W. 17th
