Cafe Verde, new in Corte Madera

I had seen Cafe Verde a few times as I drove by on Tamalpais Blvd, a new and attractive seemingly open-air place. I stopped there yesterday for lunch. It's just as attractive and friendly as it looks driving by. They offer pastries, panini sandwiches, coffee, beer, and wine. They've been open two weeks. I had the Roast Beef Panini ($7.50) with an addition of their pureed Vegetable Soup ($3.00). It was all quite good. The beef - I'd call it an adequate-but-not-large portion - was my perfect shade of pink and had caramelized onions, etc. The soup was excellent, with a more-complex flavor than I expect from vegetable soup. Tables both inside and outside. A yelp report says "a relaxed, european style cafe to eat, drink and just enjoy your time and your company" and I'd agree with that. Give it a try if you're nearby and see what you think.
