There's no really good Italian right near the airport; I would just have dinner in downtown Baltimore, which is perhaps 10-15 mins away. Laurel and Columbia, mentioned by the other posters, are at least as far.
Cinghiale or Sotto Sopra at the high end, Cafe Gia or one of the Little Italy haunts lower down the chain.

Does it have to be Italian? This place has standard dishes, and Snyder's Willow Grove has some pasta dishes. Not sure beyond that but there is good food nearby. Snyder's is an all around crowd pleaser that doubles as a time traveling machine back to the 50's.

Note that I haven't been to Olive Grove.›1 Reply -

re: Zevonista
There isn't notable Italian before Columbia/Laurel or Baltimore, but there is a fast mom & pop type place that's OK. On 176 (Dorsey Rd) is Mamma Lucia.
A non-Italian place you could go is G&M - they've been up and down throughout the years and people love or hate the crab cakes, but it is a good experience. W. Nursery & Hammond roads.
