      Some people have long memories!
Right now I'm looking for bundnerfleisch - it's a swiss version of the same technique

Rita' Muenchner House in Fremont carries a commercial version fron Saag's at about $24.oo/lb - wonder if it's cheaper anywhere else

        Try Euromix Delicatessen
        4301 Piedmont Ave
        Oakland, CA 94611
        (510) 595-3649

    2. They are going past season and the local markets (New Leaf and Whole Foods) which carry them are increasing their prices each week.

Two weeks ago, I was buying them at $4.99 a pound. Then, last week, they were $5.99 a pound and just yesterday, I saw them at New Leaf for $6.99 a pound.

      No thanks.

Organic Brown Turkey figs Monterey Market $3.49/lb, Berkeley Bowl $5.49 11/15/12. Sorry I don't deliver to Napa.;-)

      2. There are lots at Berkeley Bowl and West Berkeley Bowl. Prices vary based on type of figs and organic vs. conventional.
