  1. It's not a problem, it's a feature! We must all constantly see threads we've chosen to skip or stop reading because the Chow/hound powers that be misguidedly thought it was a good idea to get rid of the "Unread Posts" functionality:

Agree. I miss "Unread posts" TERRIBLY!!!

    2. Hi Joebob.

Regarding your question about where you can find your saved boards, there are two places these are available to you. One is in the navigation at the top of the site; when you're logged in, "My Saved Boards" should appear in the nav to the right of "Chowhound." Hover over it and you'll see your list of saved boards, which are clickable.

The other place you can find them is on your profile page, under the Settings tab. You can get there either by clicking on "My Saved Boards" in the top nav of the site, or clicking on your username at the upper right of the page and then selecting the Settings tab.

That was the problem: My Saved Boards disappeared for a week or so. After that time, I had to ask. It has disappeared and reappeared on several other occasions for short periods. Thanks for your replies Mike and Deborah.

Since so many post tend to deteriorate over time, I so wish they would include an "unfollow" button so we can get out threads that no longer serve us.

Amen! I mistakenly posted to a thread that will no doubt live on for years and I tired of the topic within a day. Usually I can smell when a topic will be a "forever" thread and I read but don't respond - just because I know it will pop to the top of "my" threads ever and again.

I have significantly decreased my participation on these kinds of "fluffy" threads because of this. Which, I suppose, isn't all bad.

Now that IS odd. Next time you're logged in but not seeing your Saved Boards, could you take a screen shot and post it, as well as provide info on your operating system and browser? Hopefully that'll help us track down whatever might be the issue. Thanks!
