Korean Ginseng Chicken Soup & Bibimbap restaurant - Leslie/Finch area

Korean Ginseng Chicken Soup & Bibimbap restaurant
5865 Leslie Street
Toronto, ON M2H 1J8
(416) 493-0880

A new korean restaurant opened up next to Galati market on Leslie just north of Finch. While the menu is rather small, they do use very fresh ingredients and flavours are well done.

I had the veal hot stone bowl bibimbap. Bowl was hot enough to make the bottom rice nice and crispy, and veal was unique compared to most bibimbap I've had in GTA. The ginseng soup was just ok, at least it didn't taste overly medicinal like some of the ginseng soups my mom used to make.

Wife had the Spicy tofu stew, which she liked too. Side dishes were also very freshly made, good kim chi. Would definitely go again, despite the slightly higher prices compared to the other Korean spots on Yonge st.

  1. Yum, looks good and your mention of the crispy bottom rice has me hooked. I have never seen a veal version of bibimbap before...interesting. I want to try their mung bean pancake! I also haven't had samgyetang in a long time although it sounds that there are other places that might make it better? Thanks for sharing!
