today's lunch at hosteria del piccolo (extremely short review)
we had:
FOGLIA SENZA white beans, heirloom tomatoes, tuna conserva, shallots: pizza crust
very good dish
RICOTTINA seared fresh ricotta, seasonal mushrooms, vincotto
excellent dish, as always
POLLO RIPIENO pan roasted chicken, stuffed with ricotta and spinach
meh, underwhelming taste, but it looked very pretty
ANGUILLA venetian style salt water eel, marinated with sweet onions: polenta
the first out-and-out poor dish i've had at this restaurant in all the times i've visited since they opened.
BIGNOLÈ vanilla custard cream filled puffs: salted caramel
absolutely terrific
