Cypress, Ottavio, or Artisan Bistro for a Birthday Dinner

I'm taking out my wife and I'm thinking about these three places: Cypress, Ottavio, or Artisan Bistro.

We're not looking into fancy, just good, quality food.

I don't mind spending a little bit more as long as it's worth it.

So let me know your thoughts on these three places... thanks!

I'll be devil's advocate to lindarita. We infinitely prefer Artisan to Ottavio. Ottavio was a little sloppy on the details, whereas we've never experienced that with either food or service at Artisan. Admittedly, we went to Ottavio once (and didn't want to go back) but have been to Artisan six times in 2-1/2 yrs. Waiting for that fourth bore...soon!

Have not been to Cypress.

Haven't been to Cypress, but I've been to the other two several times, and I think they're about even in terms of food & service quality -- which is very good but not perfect. Of the two, I think I'd prefer it if my husband chose Ottavio for my birthday dinner. It's a little more quiet, dark, and romantic, whereas Artisan Bistro is lively, more crowded, and seems better suited to a more casual night out, or night out with family or friends.
