Celts game tonight w/ Dad. Will travel...

Looking for something different for the C's game tonight with my Dad. He'll be coming in on the Red Line and I'll be picking him up. Thinking something outside the box so Kendall, Central, Charles, etc. off the Red Line are all in play. Good beer, TV's a plus and excellent bar food would be criteria. Suggestions??

Did you end up at Parlor Sports? If so, what'd you think?

I was fairly impressed with the food and beer list at Tip Tap Room near Charles and fairly close to TD Garden. It was crowded and loud though, and they had TV's everywhere.

What about Parlor Sports, the sports-bar side to Trina's?

Second Parlor Sports! They will usually have the volume on too, not to mention some fun game snacks and good beer selection.

Love it!! Never heard of this place....heard of Trinas...This seems like a perfect spot. Easy parking in Inman as well. Thanks!

I don't think you'll be disappointed. I never am when I go there. I also never seem to get out of there without eating a corndog (for whatever that is worth).

If you like craft beer, they have a good selection (and sometimes some stuff off the menu, so don't be shy to ask).

Beer, I would say Meade Hall - though, their only TV's are upstairs. They have a great beer selection.

The beer geek in me likes the selection better at Lord Hobo, thought it's a few more blocks from the T.

And the TV situation at Lord Hobo is much better. If those 3 chairs upstairs at Meadhall are taken, you can't really watch the game

Have they always had TVs at Lord Hobo? I haven't been in six months or so, but I have no recollection of these.

Yes. One to the left of the bar as you enter the restaurant. Another on the far wall to the right as you enter. I believe there's also a 3rd now above the booths in front of the windows (but I could be wrong on this).
