Sweet Surrender Bakery in Brookland

Several years ago, this bakery operated in Brookland (Catholic U neighborhood). It was one of - if not THE - best places for decorated cakes, and absolutely THE best for gingerbread. They left that neighborhood, and I am trying to determine if the have relocated in the DC area. Any information would be appreciated!

Now I will be one of those annoying people who say "Sorry I can't help" but, wow, your post took me back in time. What a great bakery that was -- I still remember the coffee cake I bought there for a Christmas breakfast in the early 90s. Worth every penny of its -- to me at the time -- high price. It was a real find for the neighborhood.

Yes, it was - for me, too, at the time - expensive, but truly worth it. I never bought anything there that wasn't at least very good, and usually much more than that. Thanks for sharing the memories!
