As I recall, you are in Santee (so am I). If you want to purchase a cooked duck, take the 52 to Convoy to Clairmont Mesa and roast duck is available at 99Ranch market, Sieu Sieu BBQ or further South on Convoy to Yum Cha Cafe

Yes! We buy those all the time at 99 Ranch Market (specifically, Sam Woo BBQ) -- super tasty and less than $20 each.

We do alternate between the 99Ranch and Sam Woo ducks when purchasing whole...and almost always order something with roast duck at breakfast from the Sam Woo restaurant. I think the regular price at Sam Woo may be a dollar more than 99Ranch.

Got it -- I forgot that they also sell cooked ducks inside the 99 Ranch store. Never tried one of those.

Seisel's Market carries a good Long Island style uncooked duck if that is what you're looking for. Costco gets a pretty good cooked and vacuumed packed duck from Canada in their refrigerated section (two halves per package) with an orange sauce in a separate packet. (Recommend you throw the sauce packet away and make your own L'orange Sauce). A package serves two but just barely.

Valley Farm Market at Campo Rd and Bancroft in Spring Valley has a Meat Dept. with Siesel's like quality at Costco prices. I've never asked for duck there, but anything I've asked for they either have or can get in a day or two. 619-463-9595

Iowa Meat Farms usually has frozen duck and Whole Foods in Hillcrest often has duck as well, can't remember if their is frozen or not, I tend to think it wasn't.

Yeah -- the Whole Foods in La Jolla carries fresh (unfrozen) Mary's ducks, which are organic and free range and all that.
