My mother has inherited her MIL's bowl which is a T.G. Green yellowware bowl (dating from the early 20th century). Mason Cash bought them around 2000. I bought a new Mason Cash in 2010. The old T.G. Green bowl was heavier than the new Mason Cash. I bought a second Mason Cash a few months ago from amazon.com and had to return it due to several chips in the glaze.
I haven't had any major issues with my 2010 Mason Cash...but I will admit that I don't use it very often. Usually it holds onions in my pantry.
I don't know if that's helpful in any way...
