Need recommendations
I have not been to San Diego for almost 20 years! Coming for a conference and staying at W San Diego (421 West B Street ). Please help me find a good simple taco place and some nice sushi. I will not have a car so prefer to find some good places withnin walking distance (but i like a good walk!). The conference is at San Diego Convention Center.
Thank you all in advance, dying for a good taco- there is not much you can find in MASS in this department!

Easy- Mexican Fiesta in Little Italy 1460 India St (between Beech St & Ash St).
Especially the al pastor. It's just what you're seeking, and close to the W.

re: Fake Name
Mexican Fiesta? Really?
I think the place is nice and all, esp. the owner who's there like at 4:30 am making fresh pico de gallo, but I've never thought of the place as having great tacos. A decent breakfast burrito, maybe, but really nothing else of note.
(Although I must say that the burger is awfully tasty ... no doubt because the burger picks all the grease and leftover juices on griddle used to cook carne asada, chorizo, machaca, etc.)

re: Fake Name
For 14 years I workd in the building across the street from Mexican Fiesta!! Yes, burgers are rather good given the incredibly low price. Most people in my office liked the carne asad burrito or the rolled tacos or the super nachos. Nothing fancy but pretty good. Big problem--they close around 2 pm. Maybe a bit later--but definitely not open at dinner time.
