      1. re: shoelace

I would like to go for their lunch break!

        1. re: DeisCane

i would have gone if id known about it before this mroning

    2. I think they must have totally missed their mark if none of us on the Chowhound board knew anything about it.

I don't know. If you look at the day's agenda, it's not really about food at all. How many of the regular posters here are food bloggers? The topics of the sessions have to do with food photography, getting your blog noticed, etc.

        2. I wish I could have gone but alas I have work and live in Baltimore...people have been talking about it for a while now, but mainly on twitter, I think if you follow @kosherbloggers you should be able to get updates on these sort of stuff, but I'm surprised it wasn't mentioned on the kosher board

Don't be so surprised y'all. The Mods on CH are pretty heavy handed when it comes to the inclusion or even mentioning of other blogs. The get-together is really geared to assisting those people who write these competing blogs as opposed to the many people, Hounds included, who simply read them. It's an industry thing set-up inline with Kosherfest that starts tomorrow in NJ.

I know about Kosherfest, I'm blaming my absence from twitter since Sandy, but yes, I food blog and have attended some of these types of things over the years

I think it maybe catered to a very specific audience, that I'm not a member of

              1. re: shoelace

Will they kick you off if you give your blog address?

                1. re: AdinaA

I don't see why they would; there are definitely people who post here occasionally who are known bloggers.

                  1. re: AdinaA

i blog anonymously and intentionally dont post my blog address or twitter handle

Looks like they are having a second conference.

Tickets are $45 which I guess seems about right since it includes lunch.

            2. From what I can tell, it's upcoming - October 28th at NYU - here's the link -
