Senor Peppers Redbank NJ

In short, last night we dined there and it was very enjoyable....started out with the Mexican Shrimp cocktail which was delicious, nice flavors in the sauce combined with the Avocado by adding a hint of hot sauce made it just perfect. Next course Tostada Chorizo again crisp, savory, topped with lettuce tomato and a cooling white cream sauce I loved it. After that we ordered the Tacos Dorado & a Spicy Pork Chimichanga of which I have to say was one of the best i ever had, such a light cripsy combination on the outer wrap combined with tasty spicy pork, rice, beans inside,...I added some home made salsa & some fresh Pequin pepper flakes fresh ground on top at the table that courtesy of =Mark & I was in heaven!. Cozy atmosphere, friendly service....it's all good !

Right on! Senor peppers is a cool little spot and they have some reasonably priced dishes. Sometimes I'm the only gringo in there LOL

Yep! That fresh ground Chile Piquin sure beats the heck out of that pre ground red pepper flake nonsense...

Pequin peppers are very hot, often 13-40 times hotter than jalapeƱos on the Scoville scale (100,000-140,000 units). Flavor is described as citrusy, smoky (if dried with wood smoke), and nutty. I really enjoyed the flavor & punch it added to our meal.......
now i have to get a Chili Pepper mill full of them also ....
Hmmmmm great Xmas present ya think?..lol
