Oakland Small Plate Lunch Options-Black Friday 2012
Hey Hounds,
GF is flying into OAK around noon and I am looking for lunch spot suggestions.
Our favorite lunch style is small plates or multiple appetizers to share with a glass of wine or a cocktail.
I recently had Friday lunch at Mua and I enjoyed the food, (bummed that they don't do marrow at lunch though), so I have that as a possibility, but I don't get out enough in that vicinity to know if there is a better option for what we like.
I don't want to go too much further north, because we will have to backtrack out on 580 to get home.
Thanks for your recs!

I like Barlata (Telegraph Ave. at about 43rd) and District (Old Oakland) for small plates, wine, and cocktails. I have only been for dinner and have not checked their hours for lunch, but both are in good locations in terms of reasonable parking and interesting neighborhoods..

re: KatoK
I never find street parking too difficult around there. There are a lot of meters and two-hour residential permit zones. There's a photo of the interior on their Web site:
