Ashville--Take Out Thanksgiving Meals?

  • 4

OK, jumping over from the DC board with I hope, an easy question...up here we can go to Wegmans, a very nice grocery chain, and get a decent take out, prepared dinner with all the trimmings. Why would I do this, you ask? Because kids and work sometimes interfere with my time in the kitchen...just stop rolling your eyeballs! :) This year we're travelling south to visit elderly relatives--going out to eat is not an option unfortunately. Is there anywhere in Ashville area we can buy a meal to make the visit easier on everyone? thanks so much

  1. Earth Fare (grocery) has always had this. I suspect Greenlife (now Whole Foods) does too. Best to place your order ahead of time!

Earth Fare has two locations in Asheville, Greenlife one.

    1. Laurey's "Gourmet Comfort Food" offers eat-in, take-out and catering services. I have not tried them, but they were highly recommended from a friend. The Thanksgiving menu look impressive.

Yeah, 12 Bones is fabulous, if a bit pricey for the takeout Thanksgiving meal. We did that last year--there are only two of us and we had amazing leftovers for the week.
