How to dry fresh herbs?

I usually am able to buy just a small amount of what I need. However today had no choice but to buy a pretty big bunch of rosemary and thyme. What is the best way to dry them so they don't go to waste?

    You can just spread them out to dry or hang them by a string or elastic band. BUT I freeze all my rosemary and thyme (they are not hardy where I live). They both freeze quite well, actually. No work required - just shove the stems into a plastic bag, seal and freeze. Perhaps this would be an option for you.

      Freeze them! Thank you. Sometime you need to be hit over the head with the obvious.

      Slinking off feeling embarrassed now….LOL
