Strouds for people who don't eat chicken? (KC)

We are going to Strouds for a big dinner with a group of people that LOVE it. Neither my husband nor I eat chicken, I eat meat aside from poultry and my husband will eat fish but not seafood, or other meat. I know this is kinda like blasphemy, but have you had anything other than chicken there? What was it, and how was it?

You could just go for the cinnamon rolls... and leave in a diabetic coma.

They have very good grilled pork chops.

I'm not sure what "eats fish but not seafood" means. They do have salmon on the menu, although I've never had it. Fried shrimp and catfish.

I like their chicken fried steak. Go hungry, the portions are insane.

eats fish, but not invertebrates, so no shrimp, crab, octopus, clams, mussels, etc.

my husband has had the pan fried catfish and was happy with it. similar to you, it was a group, so we weren't going there on our own accord. i can't say i love the chicken anyhow.

One in our group of twenty on Saturday had a burger which he pronounced good. My husband (chicken-hater) always gets the CFS. I agree, jdl98, the chicken can be iffy, but was very good on Saturday. The gravy was out of this world - "just like Momma used to make."
