We are spending the afternoon at the Balnea spa in Bromont in a couple of days and looking for a place to have a nice dinner nearby. Bromont, or anywhere on the way back to Vermont. Dunham, Sutton, Cowansville, etc.

Also we are going to stop in at the Michel Jodon Ciderie before lunch and any suggestions for a brunch/ lunch spot would also be welcome. Thanks.

  1. I recently read this article about eating in Sutton: http://www.7dvt.com/2012supping-sutton

    1. We frequently do overnight bike trips in this area, and find the dining options are spotty. Realize that Dunham is the epi-center of Quebec's wine country, so there are many wineries to stop and visit, several offer lunch, especially on weekends. On our last visit, we ate at the Asia in Bedford, a very good byob Thai place right in town. There are two fine dining options in the Bedford Dunham area - the Nid Du Poule in Dunham, which offers a 5 course fixed price dinner in a small farmhose inn; and L'Oeuf just north of Bedford. We've also dined at the Porte Resto Grill in Farnham - a big, noisy pub that's packed with locals and offers hearty portions of seafood, pasta, etc.

However, be aware that Dunham is the epi-center of Quebec's wine country, and there are several fun wineries near by. Several of them offer lunch, especially on weekends. On our last trip we explored Bedford, and discovered a very good Thai place, The Asia, right in the town. It's a byob, which is a good option in wine country.
