Is there a place like el ranchito in oak cliff but north of dallas? Help - a birthday dinner depends on it!

    I'm afraid you're mostly going to find Tex-Mex in north Dallas.
    One of the very best is Casa Milagro on Campbell at Plano Rd.

    Although, now that I think about it, you might prefer Cuquita's in Richardson on Spring Valley just east of Coit Rd. They're a bit closer in style to El Ranchito on Jefferson.

      You are right there with Casa Milagro. My office is in Richardson, but live in Dallas. Probably the best Tex-Mex in town. Great salsa.

        Casa Milagro is actually more Mexican than Tex-Mex. They keep the typical Tex-Mex plates on the last page of the menu. Darn good food either way you look at it. Try their Puerco Cascabel.
