Visiting Petersburg, want Southern Food in Richmond

Hi, I am visiting Petersburg this weekend and staying overnight in Chester. I always look for good regional specialties when I visit different parts of the country. I would like to find some great Southern food for dinner. I've looked around the board and found the Dixie Chicken for fried chicken and biscuits, Julep's and the Roosevelt.

I live in DC and am from San Francisco so don't need Italian, Asian etc., no steak or anything else I can get elsewhere.

I would love to have someone point me in the right direction to find some great Southern comfort food with preferably excellent biscuits in the Richmond area. I love biscuits and not easy to find the good ones.

Thanks in advance for your help!

FYI - the biscuits at Dixie Chicken are pretty good too :)

Guess you may have already visited and so I missed the chance, but if you are down in Petersburg you might want to try King's BBQ..

My fav comfort food in Richmond isnt at Comfort, but at the Hogshead Cafe in the far west end - love their corn pudding, shrimp po boys and green fried tomatoes. They are much higher quality than Kings for most thing but its a haul from Petersburg.
