Polar Seltzer: Limited Edition Winter/New England flavors

I'm sippin' on butter rum right now. It tastes A LOT like toasted marshmallow. Pretty cool.

On deck for tasting soon: Boston cream pie. Here's a photo of the lineup from their Facebook page.

Anyone else tried them? What are your impressions?

I hadn't even seen the winter flavors- will go check to see what's available around here. I like the black cherry seltzer very much. Makes good pancakes.

Of the Polar regular sodas, I do like the black cherry. Also the Orange Dry.

Pancakes? Talk to me about this, please. Guessing you swap some or all of the water for seltzer?

Yep. The first time I tried it with some that was a little flat already, but then did it again with fresher. I used buttermilk pancake mix, about half seltzer I think. Haven't made pancakes at home for a year or so, but I remember thinking next time I'd like to try it with the mandarin flavor.

          Thank you--must try!

We like the Boston Cream Pie. No "sweeter" than the butter rum--to me, anyway. Nice over ice with some vodka. CHEERS!

My faves are the mandarin and the ruby red grapefruit. Blueberry is good too, but not always available. I'm a little put off by vanilla flavored seltzer.

I've tried eggnog, mint chocolate and vanilla pear. Of the three, only the vanilla pear is palatable in my opinion. The other two, especially the mint chocolate...are horrible mistakes...

I'm so jealous. I lived in Vermont for two years and had easy access to Polar seltzer, my seltzer of choice. Now that I'm back on the West Coast, it is one of the things I miss about Vermont...

Love the granny smith apple and the mint mojito. Great for "Skinny"cocktails!

Not a fan of the winter flavors but my son loves the mint chocolate and the egg nog ones

Are the mint chocolate and eggnog on the sweet side as well, as bagelman had mentioned the Boston cream was? My mom rolls sweeter than I do. Sort of along the lines of "if you love cream soda (as she does), you'll love this." I do like the butter rum, though...I think it would be fun to spike as well. :)

Yes, those are definitely on the sweet side. I think thats why my 11 year old loves them! ;)

I can't wait to tell my 77-year-old mom she has a sweet tooth like an 11-year-old! Talk about young at heart! HA HA HA. She really is a giant kid, that's too funny. Thanks for the giggle. :)

It did--she was laughing right along with us. :) P.S. What is your all-time fave Polar Seltzer flavor? So far, mine is black cherry--delicious on its own and stellar as a mixer with a little lavender simple syrup and some nice gin.

hands down it is the ginger lemonade. I bought a case since it was limited distro. Love it ice cold with a squeeze of lime. Delish! even better with some citron vodka and splash of St Germaine!

For every day I like cranberry lime or lemon lime,

i loved that flavor, but didn't realize it was limited til i could i longer find it! :(

my regular faves are the black cherry, the ruby red grapefruit and the vanilla.

Just tried the ruby red this weekend--YUM! If you like vanilla, you may also like butter rum and wasn't there an orange vanilla, too?

the orange vanilla tastes too "chemically" to me. these winter flavors aren't stuff i would consume in their normal forms, so drinking them freaks me out, lol.

HA HA HA, butter rum especially screams the Life Savers Christmas book of joy or whatever the heck that was from childhood (remember?). I bought more of it because drinking a toasted marshmallow is amusing to me, but like you, I'm more partial to the fruity ones. They're really great!

Is it really "sweet"? are these different than their regular seltzers, i.e, sweetened?
