Cafe Metropol (Sutter St., SF) Closed?

I walked by Cafe Metropol (in the 100 block of Sutter Street) earlier today and noticed it has closed. I presume for good. Anyone know what happened?

It has been operated for many years by the Rainier brothers, who also operate Leopold's on Polk Street.

Thanks for the link. It always seemed like the place did a good lunch business during the week, but maybe the lease was worth more than the restaurant as a going concern.

Surprise to me too, Metropol had been in that spot for so long, you feel like it will go on forever.
