Simple baked Tilapia

I always check the fish section at my local supermarket, in this case it was ShopRite. I saw fresh tilapia on sale $4.99 a pound, couldnt resist!

Seasoned the fish with salt, pepper, garlic powder, some old bay, and a little lemon juice. Put about 4 fillets in a baking pan bordered with green beans...The greens I chopped and mixed with fresh garlic, salt pepper, and chopped red pepper. threw a few lemon slices on top of the fish, baked for 30 minutes. While it was cooking I made brown rice, mixed with butter, salt, pepper, and some leftover chopped red pepper.

final result is pictured :)

I'm a huge fish lover, always checking the sales on fresh fish... next week i'll try something else!

    1. I routinely bake tilapia on a bed of prepared Ritz-cracker type. seafood stuffing bought in the fish department. The fish is covered with julienned or shredded vegetables (usually scallion, red bell pepper, zucchini, and carrot) that have been stirred with a little soy or teriyaki sauce. The vegetables and edges of the stufing caramelize a little. Plain rice and a steamed vegetable are the usual accompaniment.
