Jean Georges - seating etc

Dear all

I am going to try to book Jean Georges for dinner for my husband's 40th in December. It's a Monday night so hopefully we will be able to get reservations. We were going to book the River Cafe which is somewhere we have been meaning to go for a while but it looks like it might take weeks/months for it to get back on it's feet after the hurricane.

Does anyone have any views on the best seating at Jean Georges? I believe there are two rooms? We quite like to see what's going on and people watch so don't really want to be hidden away too much. It will be dark outside so I guess there won't be much to see by way of Park views anyway.

Also does anyone know if they would alter the tasting menu to cater for a pescetarian (fish shellfish and veggie). If not then there are plenty options from the prix fixe, so it is not really a problem, but a tasting menu can be fun!

Thanks!

All I recall is the main room at JG and the bar area/Nougatine.
They will adjust ( add/ or substitute) any course. They are very accommodating
