Hello,

My boss is asking me to buy some coffee bean shaped chocolate, and they're supposed to taste like coffee. They are NOT chocolate-covered coffee beans.

Anyone know where I can buy a pack in Toronto area? My boss said Bulk Barn, but I'm not sure if I've ever seen them there. Thanks!

I know exactly what you're looking for. They are quite shiny, dark brown and slightly larger than an actual coffee bean. Somewhat chocolate-coffee flavour. My mother used to use them to decorate a particular mocha torte she made. They used to be easy to find in supermarkets with a large kosher clientele - so Sobeys up on Clarke (between Bathurst and Yonge), for instance. Look in the kosher candy section. They come in round, flattish clear plastic packages - next to chocolate-covered nuts and fruits in the same kind of packaging. I wish I could be more specific than that but I haven't seen them in years. Well, actually, I haven't looked for them in years...
