Delicious Peking Duck in Fishkill!

applesauce23 Nov 6, 2012 07:01 PM

My friend suggested King Asian Cuisine (http://www.kingasianrestaurant.com/) on Rt. 52 for an informal dinner meeting. When I saw that they had Peking Duck on the menu, I immediately said yes.

I got a Peking Duck half and it was fantastic. Crispy skin and perfectly cooked duck, wrapped in buns...topped with hoisin sauce and scallions. I haven't had Peking Duck in years, but this was the perfect reintroduction to one of my favorite dishes. At $15, the price was standard.

This was the only dish I tried on the menu (http://kingasianrestaurant.com/king-a...), but I am planning to rave about it to all my friends. Highly recommended.

I'm not a duck fan myself but my DH enjoys it. I would take a ride up to try the place. I couldn't tell from the website but is it a regular sit down place?

It's not a hole in the wall, but the decor is fairly sparse. I would say that there are about 10-15 tables in the restaurant and a sushi bar in the rear of the restaurant. It is in the Ocean State Job Lot plaza (closer to Paesano's Bakery).

Thanks for the tip. Worth a trip across the river for that duck. Eggplant / garlic sauce appetizer was tasty, as well.

Great! Thanks for reporting back. My DH will be happy to hear about the eggplant appetizer.
