Colleagues visiting from out of town seeking suggestions for a bar or restaurant to watch election returns. Seaport/Downton. Thoughts?
Faneuil hall turned out to be a popular gathering spot. I think many bars got a spike in business from election night
Not Seaport/Downtown but Parlor Sports in Inman is going to have the volume on tonight for election coverage.
Eater Boston offered this handy guide: http://boston.eater.com/archives/2012/11/06/where-to-watch-the-election-while-eating-and-drinking.php
I wouldn't mind watching the Fernet-Branca Barback Olympics at the Royale tonight.
I'm not familiar with the "White Hipster Mixology Olympics" to which you are referring but watching that instead of election returns? Respectfully, I find that a bit perplexing.
Maybe that was meant tongue-in-cheek and I'm just dense.
the Globe is reporting that roads in the South Boston seaport will be closed beginning at 6 pm for Romney's party.
Summer Street and D street will close in a few hours but the Globe reports that a lot of the seaport restaurants have been atken over by private special events.
Dont think about Copley or park plaza areas either.
Not a big fan of the place, but I got an e-mail from Fleming's steak house saying they were having $6 apps and election coverage all night tonight.
