There once was a place on Magazine Street...

vegan73 Nov 5, 2012 09:15 PM

20+ years ago there was a little shop on Magazine that sold soups and gumbos and ettoufees that were frozen. I used to buy their crawfish bisque weekly and when I moved back to CA I filled my carryon with these containers. I cannot for the life of me remember what it was called. The only thing I remember was somewhere on the sign was the word "charcuterie."

Please oh please help. Even if it's closed I still need to remember the name for my sanity :)

It's still good. We get a lot of holiday dishes from there.

Can't help with the name but there was something like that on Magazine across from The World's Worst A&P at Toledano. They also had pasta salads and stuff one could pick up on the way home from work. I lived around the corner from it and occasionally got things but usually I just cooked for myself. There was also Flagon's Wine Bar and another resaurant that wasn;t bad..all part of the Gentrification going on at the time
