Don's Country Kitchen in downtown Carlsbad is a lovely little gem.

Chandler's which is the restaurant in the new Hilton down across coast highway from the beach in south CB or Ponto for the locals, is pretty solid. The exucitive chef is Pascal Vignau. doubtful he is cooking on Sunday morning, but the kitchen seems well run. If it is not raining you can eat out on the patio with a nice view. Good thing you were not here last Sunday, the CB street fair was on and it was a zoo.

I'm not really a big buffet kinda guy (unless we're talking Jimmy!), but Karl Strauss is pretty darn close to the outlet stores (just one or two signals away) and has a decent Sunday Brunch Buffet with an omelet and waffle station, etc. Still think I'd choose Don's or Tip Top (which is even closer), but it is always good to have choices.

Thanks all. Sounds like a group of solid recommendations.
