Quick! Where should I go for my birthday tonight?

My husband was trying to surprise me with a reservation at Bondir, but alas, was unsuccessful. Any thoughts? I can't decide...no need for anything too stuffy, but should feel a bit special...

Are you leaning Cambridge? I always enjoy Hungry Mother.

      Not open on Mondays.

In that same neighborhood, Oleana and West Bridge are both nice options.

Boston is fine too, HM is another tough reservation, but a favorite of mine as well.

Bergamot? Sit at at the bar for more food options.

Rendezvous is exactly where I will go if I can't come up with anything else, it is my very favorite, but I was just there two weeks ago. I have a tree nut allergy and the last time I went to Oleana I felt like I was asking for trouble just walking in the door, although I love the style of food, what do you think?

Don't forget that Monday is Tapas night at Rendezvous' bar. So even though you were recently there, you can eat off a different menu.

Thanks Chowhounders! We ended up at West Bridge where did their tasting menu and were well impressed. Venison with freekeh and mastic was a highlight as was skate with kuri squash and buckwheat. Service was excellent. Glad to be turned on to a great new place.

Glad your birthday dinner was a success! I've had several impressive meals at West Bridge, and especially like its cocktail program.

I still have dreams about their slightly spicy cucumber cocktail.
