Lenny's Smoke house in Chatsworth Manor

Had a great meal here last night. I had the baby back ribs with raspberry chipotle sauce, which seems to be their signature dish, and it was excellent. My son's bbq'ed chicken was also very good. The price includes a side dish, of which there is a nice selection, and the prices are quite reasonable. I don't know how it would stack up against the best BBQ places in L.A., but it was definitely far better then Bear Pit, where I had been the previous week. They have no liquor license, but you can buy from the adjacent liquor store. It has a country ambiance, and you can eat outside. On the weekends, there is live musical entertainment. It is located in a remote part of the valley, right up against the Simi Hills on Valley Circle Blvd. I don't know if I'd recommend driving a long distance for it, but definitely worthwhile if you're in the area. You can follow it up with a visit to the old cowboy saloon on Devonshire.

Thanks Mark. Looks great. They cater for the studios too. Here is a link I found.

One negative, which I'll mention just cuz it bugged me, is that there is a totally pointless $2.50 valet fee. This place is in the boonies, not on Beverly Blvd. There is a parking lot right in front of the building, and presumably easy street parking all around. When I gave the parker a fiver, he asked if I wanted change. Sheesh.
