Esoteric Mid-Century Range

  • 3

Aloha Kakou:

OK Caroline and all those who've extolled the "Flair" pull-out, oven-above range, what about this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/UNIIQUE-LATE-...

When I was in high school, my best friend's mom (who taught me how to incorporate wine into cooking) had a Flair. But this Monarch (perhaps Monarch's last gasp) looks absolutely Jetsonian in comparison.

Anyone have/had a Moderique?

Aloha,
Kaleo

      Hi, hill food:

I know the logistics and uncertainty would be unsettling, but for $250 and one missing knob? This is like a 1950 Cadillac convertible for $2,500.

      Aloha,
      Kaleo

I know, I know, and you're not making it easier. a Doylestown, PA roadtrip just ain't in my future right now. and screw the knob (oh there's pun fodder in that phrase), I'd just use a small pair of visegrips until better was found.
