Auberge le Quincy

My wife and I had an 8:30 reservation at la Quincy last night and arrived to find the venue closed and dark, with no explanatory sign on the door. We are concerned about Boboss and Madame. Any intelligence?

Not me, I was at Clandestino Saturday, but since Parnessian haunts the area maybe he knows.

Maybe Boboss and Madame faisaient le pont. (i.e. were taking the Toussaint break.)

Why would Bpbosse have taken the reservation ?
Bill: can you check if you had not made a mistake in the reservation date?
Indeed this weekend Paris is deserted. Many places are closed.

I'm pretty sure there was no mix-up in the reservation date, although I suppose it's always possible. Too bad -- I had a hankering for Boboss's lièvre à la royale -- but as long as he and madame are OK, there will be another game season and another time.

"Why would Bpbosse have taken the reservation ?"
I've been stuffed twice in 10 years by places that have taken res's and not shown up.
Lesson learned: always have a back up. In this case Clandestino or Sur les Vignes.

              Clearly this should have read
""Why would Bobosse have taken the reservation ?"

Although I haven't been to le Quincy for years, I always found Bobosse to be very, um, "individualistic"/ unpredictable so I wouldn't be surprised if he had taken an unannounced 4-day weekend for Toussaint

And that hood would not be my first choice for a place to be left hanging....
