How many will 11 ounces of baby spinach serve, as salad?

Other ingredients are three apples and lots of pecans.

Thanks for your help!

  1. is there other food? raw spinach is LOTS of volume, but very few calories. if it's just as a starter or as a side, it will serve about 4.

      forgot to include that information!
There will be many many other dishes and generous meat platters.

It appears to be about 19 handfuls to me, as it lies draining on trays. Just a guess.

        it's a bag, right?

if you're just using it as a part of a buffet, don't worry about it. people who want it will enjoy it.

imho, raw leaf salads in those settings are a pain. they take up tons of space on the plate for little bang for the appetite buck.

Lol, hotoy, I'm sometimes inclined to agree wtih you, but this is a very health conscious group, so I think the spinach will appeal to more than usual.

maybe too late now, but chopping the spinach into thin ribbons, or even smaller, as for a chopped salad, can help.

If it's just one offering of many, I'd bet at least 10 people could take a little helping from the salad. If it were a salad, entree, dessert type meal I'd agree with hotoynoodle and say 4.

Thanks to all for your help. Much appreciated.

I just bagged the spinach and figure it to be about 16-17 handfuls/servings..

So.....have to wash more. Ugh. I wish I had replaced my salad spinner!

I had forgotten I used part of another package when reporting the 16-17 handfuls.

From total 21 ounces there were about 22-23 handfuls.

              Thanks again.
