Runny Frosting.

I am trying to make FLUFFY/WHIPPED peanut butter frosting, this is the ingredients:
1-1/2 c. creamy peanut butter
8 T. unsalted butter, at room temperature
1/4 tsp. kosher salt
1/2 c. heavy whipping cream
1-1/2 tsp. vanilla
2-1/4 c. powdered sugar
Place the peanut butter, butter, and salt in the bowl of a stand mixer. Beat on medium-low speed, just until thoroughly combined. Add the remaining ingredients and combine again. Then turn the speed up to high and beat for 2 to 3 more minutes, until frosting is light, airy, and fluffy.

When I was done with all of this, it looked fluffy but it was slightly runny, so i whipped it even longer...same thing...WHAT DO I DO! HELP PLEASE!

    There is an excellent Home Cooking Board that is part of Chowhound. I have the people there to be very helpful - and they respond quickly, too.

      It looks to me like you've got more liquid in that recipe than you need - if you're trying to save the batch you've already started, I would add more peanut butter, butter and/or powdered sugar to stiffen it up.

          You could also try refrigerating it. I wonder if your butter was too soft.

        Either reduce the cream or increase the powdered sugar.

          Powdered sugar icing is the easiest thing in life to repair. Just add more powdered sugar.
