A dentist... but East Boston as a whole is still worth a visit.

Zafferano's was on the corner before the turn into Winthrop and I have heard it said there is a very good Italian place in Winthrop, among several that are middling at best. Any thoughts about which one is the "good one?"

IMHO, Cafe Rosetti on Shore Drive is really good, though the dining room is a bit cramped. Well executed food and friendly staff.

Anybody know where the chef/owner landed? I'd go there if I knew where....we thought that place was as much like a local place in Italy as anywhere in Boston. No offense, Zamir!

Not to threadjack, but has anyone else noticed that Zamir has been MIA at Trattoria Toscana for at least the last few months? I don't know if he's on an extended holiday or what, but it's hard to miss who's in the kitchen on any given night, and I haven't seen his face there on my last few visits. It would sadden me deeply to hear that he has moved on. Any news, anyone?

Spoke to his wife the other night. He has been on family business and will be back...no worries, at least for public consumption.
