Where to eat: Hegenberger Gateway Retail Center near the Oakland airport

I have to meet a friend there tomorrow morning. Other than In and Out, Jamba Juice, Starbucks, Panda Express? is there anywhere to eat there? Already ate in Fruitvale last weekend and will be in Oakland Ctown on Sunday. Oddly, they don't seem to have a website.

I don't think there's anything worthwhile in that plaza -- you just want something nearby, or does it need to be in the center? Crossing over into Park St. in Alameda wouldn't be too bad and would open up plenty of options: Scolari's? Cafe Q? Homeroom Racing Cafe?

There's also an old-school red sauce Italian joint off Hegenberger, but I haven't been.

Huh. Good to know about Masala Cuisine. Anyone tried it recently? (It sounded from that thread like the business was in flux, or maybe not doing so well...)

I ate in Alameda and Fruitvale last weekend. I was afraid that In and Out would be it but thought I would ask. I decided I don't really like it that much last time I was there. After I conduct my business, I think I will eat back in Berkeley.
