Best BBQ Beef Ribs in the Fort Worth area ?

I am going on a trip to Fort Worth and will stay in the Cityview Blvd area. Any recommendations for a good BBQ place with awesome Beef Ribs ?

  1. I doubt if you'll find any BBQ beef ribs in Ft. Worth. You might as well stop at Lockhart Smokehouse in Oak Cliff and get some there. I had lunch there today and the huge rack of 2 inch thick beef ribs I was shown looked great! But, I didn't want to eat that much so I ordered a 1/3 pound of fatty brisket. Not up to Pecan Lodge's quality but still, very good with excellent smokey bark!

    1. Riscky's has all you can eat beef ribs on their menu. I had them a couple of years ago and they were good.

      1. Try the ones at Cooper's BBQ in the Stockyards, just off Main across from Billy Bob's. Lots of good fatty meat on each rib.

        1. Cooper's in the stockyards has been ribs every day and they are very good (although all Cooper's BBQ is a bit less smokey than some other places.)

Lockhart BBQ only has beef ribs on Wed and Sat (I think) but they are a bit inconsistent - excellent sometimes and only decent others. It is definitely NOT worth the drive from Ft. Worth, considering that Cooper's is there (with a better, more consistent beef rib IMO.)

Per my above comment, the day I was at Lockhart Smokehouse in Oak Cliff and offered beef ribs was on a Thursday.

Regarding Cooper's BBQ in Ft. Worth, I've not been there. But, I'd give it a try if I happened to be in the neighborhood. And that's despite the fact that I DO NOT LIKE Cooper's BBQ in Llano.
