Does a place like this exist?

Looking for a place to go this weekend. It will be 2 (possibly 3) married couples for a dinner and night out without children. Cuisine is not an issue as none of us as finicky. We'd like to keep it a $50 pp with drinks included.

Music is almost a must, yet light enough for conversation. Anywhere within a 10km radius of Yonge and Eglinton

I know its vague but I guess I'm after music and ambiance primarily.

Any kind of music?
Pan has live Greek music on the weekend, starting at 8 pm on Fridays and Saturdays. I would think conversation is still possible. Christina's also has live Greek music on Fridays and Saturdays. Any time I've been at Christina's when they've had live music, conversation has been possible at the table.

Have also heard some live music coming from 417 on the Danforth on several occasions when I've been passing by. Looks like they have live blues on Thursdays. http://417restaurantlounge.com/events.html Not sure if they have live music at dinner time on the weekend.

Live music would be alright too, as long as it doesn't get toooo loud. Hope I'm not painting a picture as if we're geezers, just want to keep it light and fun.

Hugh's Room is a great place to see live music. The food isn't fantastic but it makes for a nice evening with dinner and conversation before then a concert.
I've never been to Lula Lounge but I think it is similar just depends on what type of music you are looking for.

Neither of those are good places to go if you're looking to have a conversation with background music, though -- in both cases, the music (and in the case of Lula, the dancing) is the focus and conversation will be somewhat difficult given the volume.

That's why I said dinner and conversation before then a concert. If quality of music is more important than food I think they are good choices.
