Dog-friendly coffee shops in East Van?

I'm looking for good coffee and the ability to bring my awesome, medium-sized dog. Either a place that would allow her to come inside with me or at least has a very well-covered outside patio for us.

I've heard really nice things about Little Mountain Coffee Company at around 33rd & Main. I think they're as dog friendly as you can get in Vancouver.

Vancouver Coastal Health regulations prohibit animals (with the exception of service dogs) from being inside any food establishment as well as their patios. There can be some pretty big consequences for a business if they allow dogs.

okay how about a cover that goes past the patio?
